| FM-200 is a clean agent fire protection for vital facilities. It
extinguishes fires using a combination of chemicals that inhibit
fires. It is environmentally safe and can be used with sensitive
equipment. This types of extinguisher can be used for
telecommunications, computers, control rooms, marine systems, libraries,
paint mixing rooms, universities, museums art galleries, and other
facilities where water damage must be avoided. It is non toxic.
It is stored in cylinders and is delivered to nozzles through piping. The fire is detected, a control panel sounds an alarm, disconnects the power and then releases the agent. FM200 extinguishes fires through heat absorption. The compounds are known as HFCs and they remove the heat energy from a fire so the fire cannot sustain itself. FM200 also releases small amounts of free radicals upon exposure to flames. Free radicals inhibit the chain reaction responsible for combustion. FM200 does not reduce oxygen levels so it is safe around people.Benefits of using FM 200
It is the most widely accepted clean agent in the world.
